This is one of the most important places for me, evoking memories of childhood picnics with my Mum and Dad, skylarks, buzzards, adders and burial mounds.
The lane leads to a hidden place which used to have the remains of old wooden barracks from the 2nd World War - a fantastic place to play as a child. Nobody went there but us, and it was buried so deep in farmland that we would hear nothing but birdsong.
I have used Green Lane in the panel "Mary Anne Tippett and Her Cat".
